Whether you want to learn to make a T-shirt quilt for you grandchild, take on a mystery quilt, or learn a new technique, Franklin area quilt teachers can provide you fun and educational classes.

We are gathering our list for this page of area teachers who will work with you at Ridgetop Quilters Retreat. All you have to do is contact them to make the arrangements and discuss their fees. Our local quilt shops will also arrange classes for you.


Nancy Sapin 

Nancy has been a National Freelance Educator and designer for Sulky of America since 2007.

Her positive “can do” attitude brings fun and enthusiasm into the classroom. She has presented numerous Sew Exciting Seminars, Quilt Guild presentations & sit 'n sew classes. She also co-taught Sulky Teacher Certification Trainings, taught and lectured at various AQS, ASE & OSQE events.

Her designed projects have been published in Sulky's "Sew, Craft, Quilt & Embroider Confidently with Sulky Stabilizers (#900-B19)"; "Fun with Sulky Blendables and Solid Color Cotton Threads (#900-B21)", and Sulky's "Embellish your Life with Sulky (#900-B22)".

3-hr to half-day classes ($30/person with a $25/person kit fee):  Fabric Scrapbooking (weaving with decorative stitches); Clothesline wrapped projects include baskets, bowls, appliquéd trivets and Build-a-Box; Crazy Patch Snap Travel Trays, Designer Fabric Manipulated Scrunched Scarves, Free-Motion Thread Sketching and more. All-Day Class ($60/person): Crazy Wavy Patchwork (plus $25 kit fee), Paper Pieced Pillow (plus $30 kit fee), and 3-D Pin-woven Pillow (plus $30 kit fee).
